I would certainly consider it but will plod on alone for the time being, work and family commitments being what they are. If we don't progress well enough by next spring I will be re-thinking. There's some things I haven't tried yet including long reining, and getting someone else in to help lead him whilst I'm on board. I'm also reading forums and watching vids to help me learn more about natural horsemanship techniques. I believe he really needs to be unschooled at this point and started off again. All's not lost if I never ride him as he leads well enough so should be ok for lead rein for the kids; it's thought that he's been driven before so a possible plough puller; and I love all the on the ground stuff like mucking out and grooming anyway. I have no aspirations towards competing. I just want to plod about the countryside.
Having said all that I'm going to have a look at the link now because I do want to attend one of those courses at some point in the near future....with or without him!

Rebecca, how are you getting on with your two working horses?

I have been looking at getting a couple of cobs for possible 'driving' and riding, but still in the planning process at the moment. Too many other things to work on at the moment but maybe next year.
