I'm having difficulty preparing the ground for a new polytunnel, (this has already been delivered!) and wondering whether it would be worth acquiring a small rotorvator to speed up the process. Has anyone had experience of using light machines and are they worth the considerable cost.

Hello,

Could you hire a rotovator locally or check out your local newspaper in the gardening section and see if you have any luck there, I'm sure this would be much cheaper than buying one.

Good luck with putting up your tunnel

Get two pigs, they will rotovate the are in no time. I pig-o-vated an area 23' X 40' in less than a week. It may sound a bit stupid, but by god it works! I'll never hire a rotovator again.

Sounds good to me! Does anyone have 2 pigs and an electric fence I can borrow for a week in the Edenderry/Offaly area as I have a back garden to rotovate and i'd much rather the pigs did it than me :P
