Hi I'm Michael I'm active in the transition movement. Transition is about preparing our communities for the end of cheap energy and the effects of climate change. Self suffecency is necessary but it cannot be the whole story, what will happen when our neighbours are starving as industrial society unravels as we enter the second half of the age of oil. I'm offering to come along and do a presentation to any group willing to listen. we have an opportunity to play a part in this great turning point in human history. Hi Mick

Thanks for posting this, I shall copy it to the Events and Tips for Sustainable Living sections too. Have you been approached to do many talks yet? I think the Transition Town movement is fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Regards, Rebecca

We have a five year goal to switch to alternative household energy. My husband is really into learning more about it in a hands on way as he is an electrician and works at an electrical wholesaler. We live in Cavan, where can we get more info?
