Sallygarden Smallholding - The Forum For Sustainable Living

Hi! - we are a family who are currently living in Sligo but own a 3-4 bedroom house on the shores of lough Melvin, beside the Organic Centre in Rossinver, County Leitrim which we are intersested in renting.
The house sits on 1.5 acres of land 60m from the lough shore and has access to a further 13 acres of Native woodland that we have developed with the Native Woodland Scheme over the last 3 years. It is an ideal location for a vegetable garden and we have kept chickens and donkeys on the land up until last October.
Fishing on Lough Melvin is of course on the doorstep and canoeing and swimming are perfect in the summer months.
We would love to see it put to good use by people who could really benefit from what the house and area has to offer and for this reason have contacted the forum.We can of course provide much more information and photographs if required.
