I have 4 saddleback pigs that at 180kgs in weight.I'm looking at 2 for pork and 2 for bacon.
I'm looking for someone in the Clare region to get them killed and butchered or anybody know of someone good in a nearby county.
They have had a great life so far and I would like to get them killed properly with little stress.

Hi Anto,
Hope all goes well when it comes to slaughter day. You should have received a list of slaughter units when you got your pig herd number. You could phone your local Department of Agriculture to send you out a new list or have a chat with local butchers and find out who does pigs in the area.

Got my pigs killed and very happy with the way it was done and processed, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating
and I have to say that it is excellent. The taste is totally different to what we wre eating.
Now we are thinking of next years pigs.I have heard that Tamworths are a good breed of pig.

We'll have a few Tamworths (all pedigree pigs) due to farrow on feb 10th, they will be ready 6 to 8 weeks later (preferably 8 weeks). PM me if you're interested.
