Polytunnels, good price and cheap delivery to ireland

Postby klankelly on Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:10 pm

Hi, just for your information, I have been checking out prices for polytunels and ovrall the best company i have found is Citadel Tunnels, they have a sale on at the minute with starter kits (including everything you need to start and set up your tunnel) for less than £195.00 plus delivery is only 40.00 to Ireland. In comparison to others this is fantastic and they have a good reputation. Their website is www.citadelpolytunnels.com but I'm not sure when the sale ends.

There are also a few Irish retailers in The Polytunnel Handbook - Colm Warren, Morris Polythene and National Agrochemical if memory serves - although there's one in the North too. Something Warren I think.

Even their normal prices seem cheap compared to the Irish guys, i've been looking for a 14' x 20' and the best price I got in Ireland was from Morris Polytunnels (http://www.morrispolytunnels.co.uk) in Omagh:

14' x 20' with Morris = 465euro + 40 euro delivery = 505 euro

14' x 20' with Citadel = £324 (360 euro) + £40 (45euro) delivery = 405 euro

I probably can't afford to get one until later in the year, but if you buy from Citadel please update us on the quality as i'd be very interested klankelly :-)

Hello, Just wondering has anyone used the company above Citadel Polytunnels. I am hoping to invest in one soon and would like to hear from anyone who has one that was good value and quality, Thanks

Hi Bearkey,
Actually I just bought one from citadel, got the 12 foot x 18 foot straight sided space saver:
http://www.citadelpolytunnels.com/index ... ength.html

It was 40 pounds for delivery to Eire and was delivered in 2 weeks.

It arrived last friday (frame looks very sturdy) and I hope to have it up soon (weather permitting!) so will keep you posted.

Hi Paulsie,

Thats great, they seem to be the best value online. I am also hoping to go for the space saver, I hope to get it early in the new year. I have been thinking I will be able to prepare the ground in the mean time but not a chance with all the rain we have been having here in Cavan so I hope you are having better luck with putting your's up and I look forward to hearing how you get on.
